The Interior Ministry has announced an immediate maritime traffic ban for all sea users from 6pm to 4am, effective until further notice.
The decision follows acts of Iranian aggression against Bahrain, involving the use of missiles and drones, which pose a significant threat to the safety of citizens and residents.
The ban applies to all types of vessels, including fishing and recreational boats, and forms part of broader measures introduced to safeguard Bahrain’s coastal areas. It also builds upon existing regulations governing maritime navigation, as illustrated in the attached map.
The ministry has urged all sea users to adhere to the maritime ban hours and to avoid approaching the coasts for their own safety and to avoid legal repercussions.
The ministry emphasised that these measures are part of its efforts to enhance maritime safety and raise the level of preparedness under the current circumstances.
