I witnessed a selfless and responsible act which I needed to share with all.
We were stuck in traffic near the port in Hidd, and saw this palm tree being watered by the municipality water pipes. One of the pipes had a leak and the water was going into the sand on the side.
An expatriate in a Citroen car in front of us got out and took the effort of moving the face of the pipe to the base of the tree so the water would not continue to be wasted. This was such a simple selfless act which needed a minute of the person’s time, while everyone was stuck in traffic. This shows that there is good in all of us and it takes little to leave a lasting impression.
I have the number of the car which the person was driving and hope to thank him for this simple but impressive act of not wasting such a valuable resource.
