His Majesty King Hamad has praised the success of the visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the US where he signed a landmark security deal that will ensure long-term regional stability.
His Majesty was briefed on the outcome of the visit and the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement signed between the two countries, as he received HRH Prince Salman at Sakhir Palace yesterday.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also held talks with senior US Administration officials during his official visit on ways to broaden bilateral co-operation towards more integration in the security, military, modern technology, trade and investment fields, in addition to ways to strengthen regional security and economic systems.
The King expressed appreciation and pride in HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s role and prominent efforts to develop various tracks of the Bahrain-US co-ordination, as well as strengthening the kingdom’s long-standing robust partnership with the US and various allied and friendly countries.
His Majesty also commended HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s constant keenness to consolidate the kingdom’s prestigious status, competitive potential and leading role, both at the regional and global levels.
The King noted the agreement provides an opportunity for all countries to build a better future by supporting regional and international stability to achieve sustainable development.
The King’s Personal Representative Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, his representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs, National Security Adviser and Royal Guard Commander Lieutenant General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Royal Court Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, BDF Commander-in Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and senior officials were present.
