The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) yesterday conducted two joint inspection campaigns in the Capital and the Muharraq governorates on a number of shops and worksites.
The campaigns resulted in reporting violations related to the Labour Market and Residency laws. The cases were referred for legal action.
The LMRA noted the inspection campaign in the Capital Governorate was held in co-ordination with the Sentence Enforcement Department. The campaign in the Muharraq Governorate was conducted in co-ordination with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs and the governorate’s respective police directorate.
The LMRA renewed its call on all members of society to support the efforts of government agencies in addressing illegal labour practices.
