MORE than 350 school and university students from across the country took part in a major hackathon at Bahrain Polytechnic in Isa Town.
The sixth Nasa Space Applications Challenge, organised by the National Space Science Agency (NSSA), provided an opportunity for students to participate in international fora relating to space sciences with the aim of expanding their horizons and stimulating their creativity and innovation.
Bahrain Polytechnic marketing director Nasreen Khunji stressed the importance of holding this event, highlighting the university’s dedication to embracing youth development.
NSSA engineer Marwan Almeer explained that the annual event aims to increase interaction with the international space community, and improve teamwork by solving problems and discussing solutions related to space discovery and earth sciences.
