THE new state-of-the-art campus of Nadeen School Bahrain was opened in Dilmunia yesterday by Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa.
The new facility offers an outstanding British education to students from Nursery to Year 13.
The school has 55 classrooms which accommodates 1,260 students, and contains three science, chemistry and physics laboratories, in addition to seven music classes, three ICT rooms, two family education laboratories, two design technology laboratories, a large multi-purpose gymnasium, a 25-metre swimming pool, playgrounds for various sports and a theatre hall.
Shaikh Khalid toured the new campus and interacted with students, as he was briefed about the facilities by Naseej chief executive Amin Al Arrayed.
Also present were Education Minister Dr Mohammed Juma, Housing and Urban Planning Minister Amna Al Romaihi, Youth Affairs Minister Ruwan Tawfiqi, officials and guests.
Separately, the Deputy Premier also unveiled a commemorative plaque marking the official opening of the Abdul Rahman Kanoo School Diyar, in Muharraq.
The school can accommodate 1,500 students, and includes laboratories in science and computer subjects, a library, five sports fields, and the design of the school building took into account the requirements and specifications of sustainability, green buildings and the application of a policy of rationalising energy consumption to preserve the environment and natural resources. Present at the opening were chairman of board of directors of the school Tariq Abdul Latif Kanoo, government and school officials and distinguished guests.
