Kempinski Hotels is marking a multi-million dollar return to Bahrain with a stunning new development in Bahrain Harbour, having signed a deal with Infracorp, which has $3 billion in assets under management.
Set to open by end-2025, the Kempinski Hotel and Residences Manama will occupy one of three signature towers that are part of the mixed-use Bahrain Harbour development.
The property will boast 74 guestrooms situated on the upper floors and an additional 186 Kempinski branded residences spread across the rest of the building.
Kempinski Group chairman and chief executive Bernold Schroeder said the landmark project marks a significant milestone for Europe’s oldest luxury hotel company, re-establishing its foothold in Bahrain.
“At Kempinski Bahrain Harbour, guests will discover a warm European welcome in a setting that reflects the riches of the Arabian Gulf; a modern and sophisticated environment set around a wonderful marina at the heart of Bahrain’s financial district,” he added.
Guests will be treated to a world of luxury and comfort. The hotel will offer a rooftop swimming pool with breathtaking views, a spa and wellness centre, a fully equipped panoramic gym, tennis courts, a kids’ play area, and a business centre.
Harbour Heights, the mixed-use project encompassing the Kempinski development, includes residential, retail, hospitality and leisure elements spread over three towers and 2.5km of marina promenade, directly opposite the iconic twin towers of Bahrain Financial Harbour.
Strategically located between Reef Island and Bahrain Bay, Bahrain Harbour will be home to as many as 60 retail boutiques and extensive food and beverage options.
“At Bahrain Harbour, we have created a new community for global citizens, where innovative architecture, world class dining and luxury waterfront living provide a prime residential destination,” said Infracorp chief executive Majed Al Khan.
Mr Schroeder and Mr Al Khan signed the partnership agreement at the Harbour House yesterday in the presence of key officials from the two companies.
