Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), met Major General Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Balawi, Commander of the Unified Military Command of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and Major General Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Ruwaili, Commander of the Peninsula Shield Force.
Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff of the BDF, was present.
During the meeting, the Commander-in-Chief welcomed the GCC Unified Military Command and Peninsula Shield Force commanders, commending the sustained efforts of both the Unified Military Command and the Peninsula Shield Force in advancing military cooperation, coordination, and joint defence integration. These efforts, he noted, contribute to safeguarding the gains of GCC member states.
He reaffirmed the BDF’s firm commitment to the importance and effectiveness of joint military cooperation and the enhancement of collective defence integration, in line with the GCC Joint Defence Agreement.
