More than 80 Air India Express international and domestic flights have been cancelled after senior crew members of the airline went on strike.
In Bahrain, flight IX473 from Kozhikode to Bahrain has been cancelled thus far.
Air India Express also operates a route to and from Thiruvananthapuram, the flight status for which seems to be unaffected so far.
The cancellations came after cabin crew members started reporting sick and as there are not enough cabin crew members, a number of inbound flights have been cancelled at various airports, including Kochi, Calicut and Bangalore.
News reports suggest that the staff are reporting sick in protest against alleged mismanagement at the Tata Group-owned airline.
