HANDBALL – AL Tadhamun advanced last night to the quarter-finals of the 2023-24 Bahrain Handball Federation (BHF) Cup.
Tadhamun booked their place after defeating Samaheej 42-31 in their preliminary round clash played at the BHF Arena in Um Al Hassam.
The winners now move on to face the champions of the 2023-24 Khalid bin Hamad Bahrain Handball League, who will emerge tomorrow in the final between Al Shabab and Al Dair.
Shabab and Dair face off at Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town at 7.15pm.
BHF Cup action continues tonight at the BHF Arena with Bahrain Club facing Barbar at 5.30pm, to be followed by Tubli taking on Al Ettihad at 7.15pm.
The victors of the Bahrain Club-Barbar match-up will move on to face league fourth-placers Al Ahli in the round of eight. Meanwhile, the winners of the Tubli-Ettihad clash will take on either Shabab or Dair, whoever finish as runners-up in the league.
The last fixture in the quarters will be between league third-placers Al Najma and Al Ittifaq, who have received a bye for the opening stage.
Matches in the round of eight have yet to be scheduled by the BHF.
