Foundation work has commenced to build 69 new housing units in Salman Town.
A ceremony to mark the occasion was attended by Housing and Urban Planning Minister Amna Al Romaihi and Delmon Gate Company chief executive officer Abdulla Ali.
The project covers a total area of 13,891sqm, with housing units ranging in size from 174sqm to 261sqm each.
Unit prices are aligned with the requirements of the ministry’s financing programmes in co-operation with participating banks.
The project forms part of the ministry’s plan to construct 137 new housing units in Salman Town in partnership with the private sector under the Government Land Development Rights Programme.
Ms Al Romaihi said that the programme represents an advanced model of public-private partnership in the housing sector.
This has contributed to increased housing supply, enhancing project delivery efficiency and providing diverse housing products that meet the needs of Bahraini families and beneficiaries of various housing programmes.
The minister highlighted the programme’s positive outcomes through projects such as Suhail Project in Al Lawzi, Al Naseem District project in Salman Town, Al Wadi project in Buhair, and Danat Hoorat Sanad project, which have attracted strong demand from citizens.
The commencement of foundation works comes in line with the approved project timeline following the signing of the partnership agreement.
