Two men have been remanded in custody for providing unauthorised taxi services.
The Public Prosecution announced that two complaints were filed by the General Directorate of Traffic that the two Asian suspects were caught red-handed offering their services from Bahrain International Airport.
“The two received payments for their illegal taxi services. They confessed when confronted,” said the Attorney General and Traffic Prosecutor.
“The vehicles involved have been confiscated and the case referred to the criminal court.”
The prosecutor warned providers of transport services to get proper licences.
“This is to ensure safety and technical standards are in adherence.”
