Four young men died after their car broke through the barricade and plunged off a bridge in Sharjah.
Sharjah Police reported that they received a report of an accident involving a vehicle carrying four Arab men in their twenties. Three of the men were Syrian and one was Egyptian.
According to reports, three of the men passed away at the scene of the accident due to suffocation as they were unable to open the car doors and escape. The last passenger was rushed to Al Qassimi Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries the following morning.
The car had been travelling to the government district in Al Layyah when the driver lost control due to excessive speed and struck the barrier. The car then fell into the water below.
