STANDARD guidelines for agriculture tailored to Bahrain’s environment as well as smarter land use policies could help local farms improve sustainability, according to a study published recently.
In the peer-reviewed paper, titled ‘Assessing Sustainability Performance at Farm Level in the Kingdom of Bahrain’, researchers also recommend that a new category for the ‘Best Sustainable Farm’ be introduced for the annual King Hamad Prize for Agricultural Development .
