Bahrain’s Labour Fund (Tamkeen) launched applications for the next cohort of its Mashroo3i programme, designed to nurture young entrepreneurs and support innovative business ideas.
The programme targets individuals aged 18 and above, including startup founders and those with nascent entrepreneurial ventures. Building on the success of previous editions where 28 participants reached the final stages, Mashroo3i offers intensive advisory and training to help participants develop their businesses. Finalists receive financial grants to launch and implement their ideas.
“Mashroo3i promotes entrepreneurship and empowers innovators to turn ideas into businesses,” said Ali Hasan, executive director of programmes and partnerships development at Tamkeen. “This aligns with our focus on strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem and driving private sector growth.”
The 10-week programme consists of two phases. The three-week Idea Bootcamp provides specialised training to refine business ideas. This is followed by a seven-week phase offering intensive advisory and consulting to enhance participants’ skills and develop prototypes. The programme culminates in a pitch day where participants present their business models to potential investors and a sector-specific expert panel.
Finalists receive financial grants, consultancy support, and networking opportunities to turn their ideas into reality. Applications for Mashroo3i are open on Tamkeen’s website (www.tamkeen.bh) for individuals and teams.
