Bahrain Duty Free Shop Complex announced the financial results for the nine months ended September 30, 2024 at a meeting of its board of directors yesterday.
The company has achieved a net profit of BD1,147,125 during the third quarter of 2024 compared with BD1,376,642 for the same quarter of the previous year representing a decrease of 16.7 per cent.
Earnings per share during the quarter were 8.06 fils compared with 9.68 fils in the same quarter of last year.
Total comprehensive income for the quarter increased to BD568,125 compared with BD552,166 in the same quarter of last year representing an increase of 2.9pc.
For the nine months ended September 30, 2024, the company achieved a net profit of BD4,671,141 compared with BD3,702,556 in the previous year representing an increase of 26.2pc. Earnings per share as at September 30, 2024 were 32.83 fils compared with 26.02 fils last year.
Total comprehensive income increased to BD3,673,141 compared with BD2,714,734 in the previous year representing an increase of 35.3pc.
Profits from investments for the first nine months of this year were BD5,055,646 as compared with BD4,088,886 in the same period last year representing an increase of 23.6pc.
Total shareholders equity for the period ended September 30, 2024, is BD43,752,967 compared with BD44,416,085 as at December 31, 2023, down by 1.5pc. Total assets as at September 30, 2024, are BD44,066,725 compared with BD44,732,885 as December 31, 2023, a decrease of 1.5pc.
