An American woman who attempted to bring a gold-plated gun into Australia has been sentenced to one year in jail.
According to reports, 30-year-old Liliana Goodson was entering the country to attend clown school when she was caught with a gold-plated pistol at the Sydney Airport.
When questioned by authorities, Goodson told them that she had forgotten that the gun was in her bag. But authorities soon discovered that this was a lie, as they found proof of Goodson researching about bringing a gun into the country.
Goodson eventually pleaded guilty to illegally importing a firearm and ammunition. The Australian court sentenced her to a year in jail, a $1,000 fine and drug counselling after her release.
