The Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS) organised an event to mark International Volunteer Day, celebrated globally on December 5.
Members of its Young and Youth Committee led by Dr Nilofer Jahromi took part in a series of interactive activities for volunteers at the society’s headquarters in Manama.
The event featured a diverse range of activities designed to highlight volunteers’ commitment to various sectors, including relief efforts, healthcare, education and environmental initiatives.
Volunteers delivered comprehensive presentations detailing their projects and community awareness campaigns, demonstrating the significant impact of their work on individuals and families, both within and outside Bahrain. Several youth teams and volunteers were honoured in the presence of BRCS board members, including Dr Fawzi Amin, Dr Maryam Al Mulla, and Dr Kawthar Al Eid. “We reaffirm our commitment to achieving sustainable development through volunteerism, recognising these young individuals as vital partners in building a more prosperous and sustainable society,” added Dr Jahromi.
