The Transport General Authority (TGA) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced the addition of two new passenger bus routes for travelers arriving in Saudi Arabia by land from Kuwait through Al-Khafji and Al-Ruqai border crossings.
The routes serve passengers traveling by air through King Fahd International Airport in Dammam or Qaisumah International Airport, as well as travelers returning to Kuwait through those airports.
The move is intended to give travelers more transport options, make travel easier, and connect the Kingdom’s border crossings with Kuwait to its airports, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The TGA said it added the routes to expand transport options, ensure transport services are available, and establish direct links between the border crossings and the airports. The first route links Al Khafji border crossing with King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, while the second links Al Ruqai border crossing, east of Hafr Al Batin Governorate, with Qaisumah International Airport. Each route will operate six direct daily trips in both directions, bringing the total number of scheduled daily trips to 12.
