Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, met with Sultan bin Ali Al Khater, Ambassador of Qatar to Bahrain.
The two sides discussed the strong historical ties between Bahrain and Qatar.
The Speaker highlighted the deep-rooted relations and strong cultural bonds between the two countries, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar.
The meeting reviewed means to strengthen parliamentary cooperation with the Qatari Shura Council, chaired by Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim.
The two sides also discussed efforts to strengthen coordination to benefit both nations and their peoples.
On his part, Al Khater underscored the strong Bahrain-Qatar ties and commended Bahrain’s urban and economic development.
