Bahrain Bourse (BHB) recognised top finalists of its 2024-2025 TradeQuest programme at an awards ceremony in the Gulf Hotel Bahrain Convention and Spa attended by government and industry leaders.
More than 200 students from 20 schools and seven universities, guided by 42 investment advisers, were celebrated for their achievements in the simulation-based business education programme.
Industry and Commerce Ministry under-secretary Eman Al Doseri emphasised the government’s commitment to youth empowerment and the importance of their participation in economic growth. She commended TradeQuest for providing students with practical financial market understanding.
BHB chief executive Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa highlighted the programme’s role in strengthening financial literacy and analytical skills, bridging classroom learning with real-world scenarios. He thanked sponsors for their support.
Top winners included Ibn Khuldoon National School, Al Noor International School, and British School of Bahrain in the private schools category; Al Noor Secondary Girls School, Jidhafs Secondary Girls School, and Al Noaim Secondary Boys School in government schools; and American University of Bahrain, University of Bahrain, and University of Strathclyde Bahrain among universities.
This year’s TradeQuest involved 27 teams. Sponsors included Bank ABC, Khaleeji Bank, National Bank of Bahrain, Al Salam Bank, Alba, Bahrain Islamic Bank, and SICO. BIBF is the programme’s ‘Knowledge Partner’.
TradeQuest provides students with a real-life experience of capital market investment, allowing them to analyse, select, and manage a portfolio of shares based on BHB and NYSE regulations.
