A state-of-the-art medical centre in Hamad Town has recently commenced operations, reports client editor Jayne Houghton.
Shifa Al Jazeera Medical Group, an expansive three-storey facility covering 3,000 square metres in Al Hamala, was inaugurated in a ceremony officiated by Industry and Commerce Minister Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro.
The grand opening was attended by several high-ranking government officials, including Parliament first deputy speaker Abdulnabi Salman and National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) chief executive Dr Ahmed Al Ansari. Also present were MP Hasan Bukhamas, Health Ministry’s public health director Dr Mohammed Al Awadhi, and other senior government staff.
The leadership of Shifa Al Jazeera Hospital and Medical Centre was represented too, including vice-chairman Siadh Umar, chief executive Habeeb Rahman, director Shabeer Ali, medical director Dr Salman Gharib, medical administrator Dr Shamnad Majeed and chief operating officer Dr Sai Giridhar.
The event was also host to senior medical professionals, private and public representatives, delegates from the Loka Kerala Sabha, a common platform for Keralites living across the globe, members of the media and dedicated Shifa employees.
Following the ribbon-cutting, Mr Fakhro and the guests toured the complex, visiting various departments and outpatient clinics. They appreciated that the advanced equipment and comprehensive facilities would provide a significant asset to Bahrain’s healthcare infrastructure. Praise was also expressed for the centre’s environmentally-conscious design.
A symbolic cake-cutting ceremony was held, with Mr Fakhro and senior guests participating.
The significant contributions of constructor Suganth Suresh, were acknowledged with the presentation of a special memento in recognition of spearheading the construction of the Shifa Al Jazeera Medical Centre.
The inauguration ceremony attracted hundreds of attendees and featured a captivating traditional Arabic Ardha dance performance.
In a commitment to the local community, the management of Shifa Al Jazeera Medical Centre in Hamala announced free consultations at the new facility until May 31.
Patients can also take advantage of special introductory discounts until May 31: 50 per cent off all services, 30pc off optical items and 5pc off pharmacy purchases.
The centre offers a wide range of medical services across its three floors, including General Medicine, Internal Medicine, Paediatrics, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Dermatology, Cosmetology, Orthopaedics, Dental, Radiology, Pharmacy, Laboratory, and Optics. The centre is also equipped with three observation rooms and provides ample car parking.
