Bahrain Ship Repairing and Engineering Company (Basrec) has announced its sponsorship of a dedicated award in the prestigious INJAZ Bahrain National Young Entrepreneurs Competition for student-run companies.
The annual contest brings together talented high school and university students to showcase their entrepreneurial skills.
“Basrec’s sponsorship reaffirms its strategic focus on empowering Bahraini youth and contributing to a culture of innovation and excellence in line with its vision for sustainable development through national talent investment,” said a statement yesterday.
The sponsorship agreement was officially presented by Basrec human capital and corporate services chief executive and board secretary Narjis Almoosawi to INJAZ Bahrain chief executive Hana Sarwani.
“We are proud to partner with INJAZ Bahrain, a pioneering organisation equipping Bahraini youth with the skills and mindset to thrive in the workforce,” said Ms Almoosawi.
“We hope our contribution inspires students to pursue excellence and innovation, which ultimately benefits the future of our country.”
Ms Sarwani emphasised the importance of collaboration with leading national institutions such as Basrec, highlighting their critical role in supporting Bahraini society and driving positive change across sectors.
“This kind of initiative plays a vital role in empowering young people and creating a lasting impact for Bahrain’s future,” she said.
