The incidents occurred during and after Sunday evening's match between the two Spanish football giants in the domestic league, both of which have large audiences in Iraq.
According to an Iraqi local source, a Barcelona fan in Baghdad suffered a heart attack and died suddenly after Real Madrid took an early 2-0 lead in the match, which ended in a 4-3 come-from-behind win for Barcelona.
In another incident, a young man was shot in the chest in Sadiq district, north of Basra. He is still fighting for his life in the hospital. The victim was allegedly shot over a dispute about the match.
According to the Iraqi website Shafaq News, the 30-year-old is a Real Madrid fan.
Another incident was captured on video showing an altercation in an area in Baghdad, in which a gun was fired during a mass brawl, according to Iraqi media.
