His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday witnessed the success of McLaren winning first and securing second place in the British Grand Prix at Silverstone Circuit.
He extended his congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad. HRH Prince Salman wished McLaren success in the upcoming races.
McLaren’s Lando Norris gave his compatriots something to cheer about as he held off teammate Oscar Piastri to win the grand prix.
This is the 25-year-old’s first victory in his home race. Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton nearly joined his countryman on the podium.
He came in fourth behind Kick Sauber’s Nico Hülkenberg, who claimed a podium position for the first time in his Formula One career.
