GENERAL Sports Authority (GSA) deputy chairman and Bahrain Combat Sports Council president Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa extended his congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad; His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister; His Majesty’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa; and SCYS first deputy chairman, GSA chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa on the national wrestling team’s achievement of first place in the teams’ ranking at the Grand Prix of Spain 2025.
Shaikh Salman said that the result reflects the continued support of His Majesty for the sports sector and for athletes in Bahrain, as well as the dedicated efforts of Shaikh Nasser and Shaikh Khalid.
Shaikh Salman congratulated the Bahrain Wrestling Federation, led by president Abdulredha Haji, on the national team’s achievement.
Haji extended his congratulations to the King, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Shaikh Nasser and Shaikh Khalid on the national team’s success in Madrid.
Haji noted that the tournament featured strong participation and high technical standards, and that the team earned its result through a distinguished performance.
