HORSERACING – THE Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) High Committee announced yesterday that it has renewed its gold sponsorship agreement with Texel Air, in support of the Bahrain Turf Series for the next three seasons.
The agreement comes under the leadership of REHC High Committee chairman Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. It was signed during the club’s visit to the UK for the opening day of the Newmarket July Festival, where the Kingdom of Bahrain sponsors all three Group races on the card.
REHC CEO Yusuf Buheji and Texel Air executive director George Chisholm attended the signing.
Speaking on the occasion, Buheji said: “We are pleased to renew our valued partnership with Texel Air, whose continued support of the Bahrain Turf Series reflects a shared belief in the potential of racing in the Kingdom. Strategic collaborations such as this are vital to the growth of the sport and to establishing Bahrain as a global destination for horseracing.
“Texel Air plays a central role in Bahrain’s air logistics sector, and its commitment to supporting the kingdom’s sporting development is deeply appreciated. We look forward to continuing this successful partnership over the coming seasons.”
Chisholm added: “We are delighted to extend our relationship with Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club as a gold sponsor of the Bahrain Turf Series.
“The progress of the series over the past four seasons has been exceptional, and we are proud to support its continued growth.
“As a specialist cargo airline with a focus on equine transportation, becoming a sponsor of this event perfectly aligns with one of our important business lines and demonstrates our dedication to this sector.
“This agreement aligns with Texel Air’s broader commitment to supporting key national sectors, including sport. We are honoured to contribute to a platform that enhances Bahrain’s profile on the international racing stage and underscores our support for the kingdom’s goals and ambitions.”
