Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) secretary-general Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa expressed his pride in the 24th anniversary of the Decree issued by His Majesty King Hamad, the honourary president of the RHF, which established the Orphan Sponsorship Committee that later evolved into the RHF.
Shaikh Ali highlighted that this national occasion laid the foundations of a solid humanitarian approach to caring for orphans and widows, in line with a comprehensive royal vision for charitable and humanitarian work in the kingdom.
The secretary-general emphasised that this historic decision had a significant impact on the development of an integrated institutional system dedicated to the care of orphans and widows, built on values of compassion, solidarity, and social justice.
He noted that since its inception, the RHF has succeeded in empowering thousands of beneficiaries to live with dignity by providing comprehensive care in areas such as education, health, and life skills development.
Shaikh Ali underscored the foundation’s unwavering commitment to following the path laid out by His Majesty with the support of the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the guidance of His Majesty’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and RHF board of trustees chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
