The Royal Medical Services (RMS) received an official delegation from the US Task Force Three as part of efforts to strengthen co-operation and exchange expertise in military medicine.
The team included senior medical services adviser Emilio Casenave, deputy senior medical services adviser Nazareth Manalastas and Task Force 56 medical officer Peyton Tharp.
They were received by Bahrain Defence Force Hospital chief medical officer Dr Ayman Raees, who accompanied them on a field tour of several key departments, including emergency medicine, radiology, day case unit, burns unit, executive ward and the RMS Clinics.
A medical team provided a detailed explanation of the hospital’s mechanisms, procedures and the advanced technologies used in delivering healthcare in line with the highest professional standards.
The delegation was also briefed on accredited training and qualification programmes, implementation of digital transformation applications and modern protocols in military medicine which contribute to improving performance efficiency and developing services.
The US team expressed its deep appreciation and emphasised the importance of the visit in enhancing joint capabilities in field medical response and military emergency care.
