Interior Minister and Follow-Up Committee of the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce National Values (Bahrainouna) chairman General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa yesterday visited the majlises of the Al Kaabi family and the Al Buainain family in Askar, and the Al Rumaihi and the Al Fadhala families in Jaw.
Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa was present.
Gen Shaikh Rashid commended the people of Askar and Jaw for their dedication to preserving authentic Bahraini customs and traditions.
He also highlighted their commitment to maintaining public order, which plays a vital role in strengthening national identity amid changing times.
The families expressed pride in preserving the customs inherited from their ancestors.
They noted the importance of upholding authentic Bahraini traditions, viewing them as a trust passed down by previous generations and a responsibility to be given to their children.
The families thanked His Majesty King Hamad, highlighting his directives to safeguard Bahraini customs, genuine values and the core of good morals in behaviour and respect.
They also commended His Majesty’s meetings with all segments of society.
This demonstrated the King’s closeness to the people of Bahrain and commitment to their welfare, they pointed out.
The families also commended the care and support extended by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, highlighting his visits to the people and direct engagement with them.
They further commended the government’s delivery of essential services and the implementation of advanced projects that serve the interests of the citizens.
The families thanked Gen Shaikh Rashid for his efforts to engage with all members of society and attentively consider their views and suggestions.
They also thanked Shaikh Khalifa for his role in strengthening community partnership and enhancing societal security.
