Alba organised a vibrant five-day summer camp for its employees’ children in collaboration with INJAZ Bahrain.
The initiative, a cornerstone of Alba’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy, reflects the commitment of the world’s largest aluminium smelters on one site to fostering a culture of learning, leadership and innovation among Bahraini youth.
Targeting students aged 14 to 17, the camp aimed to equip them with essential life and career skills through a dynamic learning experience from July 27 to 31.
Delivered by Alba employee volunteers, the programme featured activities such as job shadowing opportunities, financial literacy workshops, Toastmasters and public speaking training, field trips and innovation camp.
“We are proud to partner with Alba to deliver an engaging and educational summer experience,” said INJAZ Bahrain’s chairperson Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa.
“This collaboration embodies our shared vision to empower youth with the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to thrive in the future workforce.”
A highlight of the week was a special session with Alba chief executive Ali Al Baqali who engaged directly with the participants and shared inspiring stories from his journey at Alba, offering them practical advice on building a successful career.
Commenting on the occasion, he said the initiative was a testament to the company’s belief in the power of youth.
“By investing in their development today, we are cultivating the leaders of tomorrow,” he said.
“A special thanks goes to our employee volunteers for shaping this impactful experience and demonstrating the very essence of Alba’s commitment to the community.”
Participants were awarded certificates of completion recognising their engagement in the five-day programme.
