His Majesty King Hamad has reiterated Bahrain’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause.
The kingdom also backs all efforts aimed at reaching a peaceful and lasting solution to the crisis, His Majesty said when he held a telephone call with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas yesterday.
The two leaders reviewed strong bilateral relations and discussed means to support and enhance co-operation across various domains.
They also discussed regional developments and issues related to the Palestinian cause.
President Abbas expressed appreciation for Bahrain’s support under the leadership of His Majesty.
His Majesty also received Palestinian Ambassador Taha Abdel Qader at Safriya Palace and reviewed long-standing ties. He commended the progress and development in these relations.
His Majesty expressed appreciation for the Ambassador’s efforts to enhance Bahraini-Palestinian relations and wished him continued success.
He honoured the Ambassador with the Order of Bahrain (Wisam Al Bahrain), First Class, in recognition of his contributions to deepening the close co-operation.
The Ambassador expressed pride in receiving the award.
He praised His Majesty’s leadership and Bahrain’s steadfast support for the Palestinian cause, based on the strong relations between the two countries, and conveyed his gratitude for the King’s commitment to fostering stronger co-operation.
