Around 500 workers at a worksite in Sitra were given water, juice, laban and fruits, as part of an annual summer awareness campaign.
The eighth-week event of Indian Community Relief Fund (ICRF) Thirst Quenchers 2025 was held on Saturday to ensure a safe working environment during the sweltering summer months.
The campaign is supported by the Interior Ministry, Labour Ministry, Labour Market Regulatory Authority and the International Organisation of Migration.
Bahrain is implementing the summer work ban from June 15 to September 15 to protect workers from extreme heat.
Nepal Ambassador Tirtha Wagle was in attendance, alongside ministry and ICRF officials.
The Bohra community and generous volunteers have also shown strong support for the project.
