Bahrain’s deep-rooted relations with Oman were highlighted when His Majesty King Hamad met Sultan Haitham bin Tariq in Bait Al Rabat Salalah yesterday.
His Majesty expressed appreciation to the Sultan for his kind invitation, warm welcome and generous hospitality. He also commended the historic relations between the two countries.
Sultan Haitham welcomed the King and the accompanying delegation, expressing his great pleasure at the visit and wishing His Majesty a pleasant stay in the Dhofar Governorate.
His Majesty arrived in Salalah on a private visit where the Sultan led the welcoming ceremony.
Among those who also welcomed His Majesty were Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham Al Said; Central Bank of Oman chairman Sayyid Taimur bin Asaad Al Said, Dhofar Governor Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Interior Minister Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Finance Minister Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, head of the Private Office Dr Hamad bin Said Al Aufi and Oman’s Ambassador Faisal bin Harib Al Busaidi.
A guard of honour welcomed the King and the Sultan. They then proceeded to Bait Al Rabat.
