PEOPLE in Bahrain can now choose to collect their parcels from select locations, thanks to a new electronic locker service launched by the Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry yesterday.
The ministry said the latest Bahrain Post free facility reflects its commitment to further develop the postal system and deliver more convenient and flexible services to customers across the kingdom.
The customers can pick up their packages at their convenience – even beyond official working hours – with safe storage ensured until collection.
The lockers have been installed at Seef Mall (Seef District, Isa Town and Muharraq), Marassi Galleria, Bahrain Mall, The Avenues - Bahrain, Souq Al Baraha, Dragon City and Saar Mall, with further expansion planned in the future.
“These electronic lockers provide customers with a secure and flexible experience for receiving parcels without being bound by fixed timings or the need to visit post offices,” said the ministry’s Land Transport and Post Affairs Under-Secretary Fatima Al Dhaen.

Ms Al Dhaen
“Customers are notified with a code and locker location, with the option of authorising another person to collect the parcel using the code.”
Ms Al Dhaen noted the service offers practical and flexible options for parcel collection, underscoring the ministry’s commitment to services tailored to the needs of individuals and businesses.
“Customers can access the lockers during the operating hours of each facility and there are no fees,” she said.
“It is convenient for customers to avoid post office visits or scheduling home deliveries as the packages are stored securely until collected.”
How to collect your package from the electronic lockers:
1. Choose “Electronic Box” when you get your package notification.
2. Pick your preferred location from the list.
3. Go to the location and enter the verification code sent to you.
4. Collect your package.
5. You have 48 hours to collect your package from the pickup box, following which it will be returned to the sorting centre, where it will be kept for a specific period known as the retention period. If the package is not collected within this period, it will be returned to the sender.
