BASKETBALL – The Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA) announced last night Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Khalifa as the new BBA president.
This follows the extraordinary general assembly, held yesterday by the BBA via video conference, to complete the procedures of electing the new chief.
It was attended by BBA board members, along with representatives from the kingdom’s basketball clubs and the Bahrain Olympic Committee.
It was announced during the meeting that Shaikh Mohammed was the single candidate nominated for the presidency.
The extraordinary general assembly thus endorsed Shaikh Mohammed as the new BBA president for the 2024-28 electoral cycle.
The extraordinary general assembly took place following the sudden resignation of former BBA president Alaa Mudara last month.
