The Bahrain Chess Federation launched the Bahrain Chess Championship 2025 at the Muharraq Youth Model Centre with the participation of 100 players of all ages and levels, both professional and amateur.
Anmar Ibrahim Ahmadi, president of the federation, noted that the winner will be crowned Bahrain’s 2025 champion. He highlighted the federation’s efforts to promote chess and expand its player base.
The nine-day tournament, being held under the Swiss system and supervised by accredited referees, witnessed strong competition on the opening day.
The event will conclude with a ceremony honouring winners with prizes and certificates.
