Fintech platform Tanami and AI-powered job search engine Sirati have taken the top spots at the 19th edition of the StartUp Bahrain Pitch competition.
The event, held to elevate the kingdom’s startup ecosystem, was supported by the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), the Industry and Commerce Ministry, the Bahrain Economic Development Board, and the Bahraini Development Bank.
A panel of leading experts and investors, including Startup Genoma managing director Samantha Evans, Mumtalakat associate director Laith Al Khalili, Blossom Accelerator investment advisor Sara Anan, and 500 Global partner Abdulrahman Jiffry, judged the competition.
Tanami, a fintech platform that provides alternative investments, was awarded first place. Tanami’s co-founder Dr Nawaf Al Maskati expressed his honour at the win, calling the platform “a high-potential platform that supports innovation and entrepreneurial projects.”
Second place went to Sirati, an AI-based platform that connects job seekers with employers. Sirati’s co-founder and chief executive Yousif Sabba thanked the organisers for a “valuable and thought-provoking experience.”
Other startups that participated included Thoubify, an app for tailoring traditional men’s attire; Lamma, a platform for creating online stores with AI; and Xseen, an AI-powered ERP solution.
The event is part of Tamkeen’s strategic priorities for 2025, which focus on enhancing the competitiveness of Bahrainis in the private sector and supporting enterprise growth, digitisation, and sustainability.
