Foreign Minister Dr Abdullatif Al Zayani affirmed Bahrain’s commitment, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad, and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to strengthening multilateral co-operation, upholding international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter, and consolidating its strategic partnership with the United Nations and its agencies, in order to achieve collective aspirations for peace, security, and sustainable prosperity.
He expressed Bahrain’s pride that the work of the UN session coincides with the kingdom’s election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the 2026-2027 term, and underlined that Bahrain’s vision, under the leadership of His Majesty, for regional and global peace, coexistence, and prosperity, is rooted in its historical and civilisational heritage, human values, and balanced diplomatic approach, in full alignment with the principles of the UN Charter and international law .
