Arabic and Islamic education teachers play a vital role in strengthening national identity and embedding authentic values, Education Minister Dr Mohammed Mubarak Juma said at the opening of the Arabic Language and Islamic Education Conference, organised by the American School in Bahrain.
The minister noted the commitment of teachers in Bahrain to keeping pace with educational developments, as reflected in their creative engagement and openness to successful global teaching experiences and innovative strategies.
The conference brought together Arabic and Islamic education teachers, heads of departments, educational supervisors, administrators, and invited guests.
American School director Dave McMaster commended the Education Ministry’s support for initiatives that serve both teachers and students. He said such events provide an important platform for sharing expertise and improving teaching strategies to benefit students and raise academic standards.
American School’s Arabic Language and Culture head Dr Noor Abu Atiya said participation in the conference enriches various aspects of teaching Arabic and Islamic education by sharing successful practices, as well as through interactive sessions and training workshops that provide innovative practical solutions.
