I AM writing to express my deep concern regarding the lack of clarity and inconvenience experienced during my Tatkaal passport reissue application at the Indian Consular Application Centre, Bahrain.
I had applied for the reissue of my 60-page (Jumbo) Indian passport under the Tatkaal scheme due to the exhaustion of pages in my current passport.
I waited at the centre for more than two hours only to be informed at the end that the Jumbo passport cannot be issued under Tatkaal within 2-3 days.
This crucial information was not communicated beforehand leading to unnecessary delay and frustration.
As a businessperson actively engaged in international operations across multiple countries time is a critical factor. The Tatkaal service is meant to support citizens who urgently require passports due to professional commitments and therefore such restrictions should be clearly communicated or reconsidered for business applicants.
I sincerely hope that this matter will be reviewed with understanding and that steps will be taken to improve communication and service efficiency at the Passport Centre.
