Kuwaiti police arrested an employee of the country's Interior Ministry after allegedly finding narcotics, a firearm, and ammunition in his possession.
The incident came to light when traffic officers were responding to a car collision in which one person was injured. Upon arrival, they found that a man involved in the crash appeared inebriated.

After verifying his identity, they found he was an employee of the Ministry. Following this, a precautionary search of his vehicle uncovered pills suspected to be Lyrica, a piece of hashish, drug-use tools, a 9mm firearm, bullets, a magazine, and assorted ammunition.
The suspect and his vehicle have been referred to the General Department for Drug Control for further investigation.
In a statement released to the public, Kuwait’s Interior Ministry emphasised that no one is above the law, reaffirming its commitment to enforcing the law fairly and firmly in order to preserve the integrity of the security establishment and maintain public safety and stability.
