Manama - The Supreme Council of Health (SCH), announced that the Central Medical Supply, Shifa National Medical Supply (SNMS), in partnership with its operating company Yousuf Mahmood Husain (YMH), has received three International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) certifications, that include 9001:2015 for Quality Management, ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management, and ISO 45001:2018 for Occupational Health and Safety Management.
Lieutenant General Dr Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of SCH, said the achievement marks a major step toward strengthening the quality of healthcare services and supporting Bahrain’s medical security through integrated pharmaceutical planning and the adoption of advanced global standards in the management and supply of medicines and medical equipment.
Gen. Dr Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah added that the international accreditation reflects the operational and administrative excellence achieved by the Central Medical Supply and highlights the success of public-private partnerships in meeting global standards that enhance the efficiency and sustainability of Bahrain’s healthcare system.
The accreditation also affirms SNMS’s commitment to the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability in its operations, ensuring the efficient and flexible delivery of medical supplies while promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
