The Ministry of Health, in coordination with the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), conducted a field assessment of core capacities for implementing the International Health Regulations (IHR) at Bahrain International Airport (BIA).
The assessment was carried out in cooperation with Bahrain Airport Company and relevant port authorities, with the participation of representatives from the GCC Committee for IHR Implementation and Bahrain’s IHR team, to enhance the airport’s readiness to respond to health risks at border points .
