GOLF – SHUVENDU Bakshi emerged as the overall winner in the KPAO qualifier, played at Awali Golf Club.
Bakshi secured first place after finishing the competition with a net score of 66.
Nasser Yaqoob Saleh won the medal for best gross with a 72, narrowly beating Ali Musbah on countback.Musbah took the victory in division one with a net 67.
Rashed Yaqoob was the runner-up on a net 69.
Matthew Deakin took division two with a net 68, while Abdul Elah Fakhroo came second on net 69.
In division three, Raghav Talwar triumphed with a net score of 70, while Paul McLean was the runner-up on net 72.
American Mission Hospital (AMH) continued their sponsorship of the tournament and was represented by AMH CEO Julia Tovey and Dr Bhartendu Mehta during the prize giving ceremony. Together with Awali Golf Club Captain Steve Newall and tournament director Balbir Singh, they awarded the prizes.
