FUTSAL – Iran and China played to a 2-2 draw yesterday in their concluding preliminary round fixture of the girls’ futsal competition. Both teams made it through to the semi-finals, which will be played today.
Iran face Chinese Taipei at 10am and then China take on Hong Kong at 12.30pm. The gold and bronze medal contests are scheduled for tomorrow.
Bahrain, meanwhile, suffered a 0-8 defeat to Chinese Taipei last night to wrap up their campaign in the competition.
Jung-chia Hsu scored four goals for the victors, while Hsuan Ku added a brace and Rou-tung Fan fired in their other. Bahrain’s Rafaela Migueis had an own goal.
The result was the fourth loss in a row for the hosts. They finished the five-team preliminaries in last place.
