The Bahrain Accountants and Auditors Association (BAAA) has officially named the expert jury for its Accounting Excellence Award, initiating the crucial evaluation phase for innovative research and projects.
This national initiative aims to champion excellence and innovation, actively encouraging students and recent graduates to engage in vital research and applied knowledge creation.
The newly formed jury features a balanced blend of academic rigour and professional expertise from prominent Bahraini institutions, ensuring fair, transparent and high-standard assessments.
The academic panel includes Dr Noora Aljalahma from the University of Bahrain, Kubra Edhrabooh from the Bahrain Polytechnic, and Dr Ahmed Alhayky from the American University of Bahrain.
Professional representation features Mohamed Almansoor from the Bahrain Chamber, Muath Alabbasi from the National Audit Office, and Mohamed Isa from Axelerate Academy.
The BAAA emphasised the structure guarantees a dual review – one academic and one professional – ensuring impartiality and a holistic assessment that integrates scholarly depth with practical insight.
The award is central to BAAA’s mission to empower emerging Bahraini talent, strengthen the profession’s contribution to the national economy, and actively promote the integration of modern technologies and Artificial Intelligence into accounting practices.
The expert jury will begin evaluations this month. The process will yield a shortlist of the top 20 projects, followed by the final top three winners, who will be honoured at a closing ceremony later this year.
