Al Salam Bank concluded the latest edition of its ‘Tanweer 2.0’ programme, which marked a major milestone by opening registration to the general public for the first time.
The initiative welcomed more than 150 students from Grades 10 to 12 across the kingdom, supporting the bank’s ongoing commitment to youth empowerment and national talent development.
Throughout the programme, participants engaged in hands-on educational experiences and interactive sessions designed to explain core financial and banking concepts. The curriculum focused on building practical workplace skills and offering first-hand exposure to professional banking environments to enhance academic and career readiness.
This year’s expanded format was accessible to students holding an Al Salam Bank Youth Account, or those who opened one specifically to join the cohort.
Al Salam Bank chief human resources officer Muna Al Balooshi, said: “We are pleased to conclude the latest edition of the Tanweer programme which was more simulation-based, and was expanded to reach a broader group of students. Through the programme, we sought to provide participants with an educational and developmental experience that strengthens their financial awareness, develops their practical skills, and provides them with greater exposure to professional work environments and the banking sector.
“We believe that providing such opportunities at an early stage helps young people build confidence, broaden their perspectives, and better prepare for the next stages of their academic and professional journeys.”
The initiative forms part of Al Salam Bank’s broader community investment strategy, aiming to nurture a future generation equipped to contribute directly to Bahrain’s sustainable economic growth.
