ISLAMIC SOLIDARITY GAMES – Supreme Council for Youth and Sport first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa visited the athletes’ village yesterday in the sixth Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Shaikh Khalid visited members of the kingdom’s delegation, accompanied by BOC vice-president Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and other officials.
During his visit, Shaikh Khalid expressed his pride in Bahrain’s participation in this major event.
He commended the outstanding performance shown by Bahrain’s senior men’s volleyball national team in their first two games against Iran and Saudi Arabia, and wished them continued success. Shaikh Khalid also urged the karate and weightlifting national teams to redouble their efforts to deliver the best results and performances.
