GAELIC GAMES – The Arabian Celts Gaelic Football team, sponsored by RCSI Bahrain, hosted their second Middle East Gaelic Games Tournament over the weekend at Bahrain Rugby Football Club (BRFC) in Saar.
The day-long event for juniors was a celebration of sport, teamwork, and community.
It brought together more than 200 children and their families from across the region for an exciting day filled with matches, laughter, and new friendships.
With close to 100 registered players with the Arabian Celts Juvenile section and 13 nationalities represented, the junior teams continue to grow as a vibrant and inclusive part of the club.
“It was fantastic to see so many young players from across the Middle East come together to celebrate Gaelic Games in such great spirits,” Arabian Celts chairman John Quinn commented on the event.
“The energy, teamwork, and smiles on every pitch reminded us what the Arabian Celts are all about – community, friendship, and fun through sport.
“What makes it even more special is the incredible diversity of our juvenile teams; children of all backgrounds are welcomed and included as part of one big Celts family.”
The Arabian Celts extended their sincere gratitude to RCSI Bahrain for their ongoing sponsorship and belief in the club’s mission to promote Gaelic Games among Bahrain’s youth.
A special thank you was also given to Professor Kevin Dunne, who joined the Arabian Celts on the day to present medals to the young players.
The day concluded with live traditional Irish music on the BRFC mainstage by the Arabian Reels.
